“Spent the weekend at Crawfish Haven with my entire family. We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and great service given by Barry. There is a lot of history in the home and the decor is very well done with a cajun flare. The crawfish excursion was great. My grandkids were so excited and loved it! Seeing the crawfish go from the pond, to the pot, to the table, all within a few hours was remarkable. The boiled crawfish and then the cajun breakfast the next morning were delicious but the hospitality was even better. Thanks Barry for a great weekend of unforgettable memories!!”

“Thank you so much for your hospitality during our stay! We thoroughly enjoyed your company, your cooking, and of course, the crawfish! We wish you all the best in your new venture and hope to return soon. We will certainly spread the word in NOLA! Where else can you catch, cook and sleep!”

"Crawfish Haven/ Mrs Rose’s Bed & Breakfast is a true unique cajun experience. The hospitality is top-notch. Kids will enjoy riding in the boat and sorting crawfish, running around playing on the grounds around the house, catching crawfish the “old cajun” way with set nets, and helping with the boiling. Owner, Barry Toups, also offers a lot of history and education of the area, the property, and crawfishing. The house is just a short drive from the quiet town of Kaplan.. or about a 25 minute drive to the city of Lafayette. The B&B is also a great place for a group of hunters to stay in the winter, as it sits in the heart of some of the best duck and goose hunting lands in the Mississippi flyway!"

"My sisters, cousins and I held our annual reunion at Crawfish Haven. Mr. Barry Toups was the perfect host; Southern hospitality with a Louisiana flair! The house was perfect for our group with plenty sleeping space and room to gather for visiting inside and outdoors as well. Such a treat to awaken to the smells of coffee brewing & breakfast being prepared. Crawfishing in the pond was fun and the boiled crawfish dinner was delicious. We couldn’t have been happier!"

"We arrived Friday afternoon the 12th of May 2017. We were greeted by Mr. Toups warm welcome. The first thing I saw and smelled was the huge pot of gumbo on the stove. We introduced ourselves and he told the story of Mrs. Rose and his relationship and the start of Crawfish Haven. Fortunately for us we were the only couple booked that weekend and had the entire house to ourselves. We had dinner then walked around the grounds and listened to peace and quiet and not the sounds of New Orleans. Watch the sunset and went on to relax and go to bed. The next morning we had crawfish eggs breakfast and went on our boat excursion to catch some crawfish. My wife loved every minute while I took pics and filmed. It was amazing to see her so happy. Came back to the house and boiled up and had some spicy crawfish for dinner. Laid around for the evening and enjoyed ourselves and talked how we ever made it to 17 years of marriage and 3 children. Life was perfect for just that moment in time and cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with her. Left the next day on mother’s day and headed home. We will back soon. Wonderful place."

"Barry: This is Dallas Bozeman from Outdoor Association for True Heroes (OATH, Inc.) Thank you so much for hosting us this weekend. Our veterans absolutely loved every minute of their stay and your hospitality put our trip over the top. I wanted to beat the guys from Paradise Louisiana to the punch, so we left you a review on TripAdvisor. Thank you again for working with Kevin Gonzalez and making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to come see you again. Sooner rather than later we hope!"
